That’s right, starting tonight I will no longer have this blog, instead each of us in the sports department will combine forces to provide our readers a general sports blog.

I am interested in who reports for the Swansboro Sports area? I know that softball in Middle School may not seem like a sport to some, but to the girls in Swansboro, who are currently undefeated, it is a huge deal. These girls work hard and are serious about their sport, and no news is EVER reported about it. Like how Swansboro Middle School finally beat Trexler, our biggest rival. And how we are undefeated at 8-0. It is sad that Soccer always gets the focus when there is another sport that also takes alot of dedication and hard work and the group of girls we have this year are hard working and serious and worth watching once they do reach the High School level next year.
Just wanted to give my opinion. I am so tired of seeing only soccer reports in the paper. I wanted to give a pat on the back to the Swansboro Middle School Girls’ Softball Team for a fine season and wish them luck in the next two tournament games on Mon Oct 8 & Wed Oct 10. Thanks for listening.
